Web Content Tactics: How to Turn Your Website Into a Lead Generating Machine (For Website Owners)
Silence…
Would you like to grow your sales, leads, or services?
Do you have a website you use to market your product or service?
If you answered ‘’yes’’, to the above questions, then the following web marketing tips will be of good use to you.
It does not matter if you’re having a hard time generating leads from your website, or your website was affected by the recent Google Panda that rolled out a few months ago, the following tips will resurrect your website to life and grow your profits.
Before I continue with the main subject of this post, I’ll like you to know this:
The reason why 60% websites fail to generate traffic and sales is because; most of them are only in for the money.
Don’t let money be your driving force for starting a website. Don’t start a website just because you want to generate leads or grow your sales (though, this is important), but start a website because, you want to give people’s lives a meaning.
I didn’t say that just because I felt like saying it, but because, it’s the real fact! You need it if you want to build a profitable online business.
Here are some marketing tips that’ll grow your business:
- Use your website to connect with people and give people’s lives a meaning
- Transform your website into an information hub. Fill it with loads of quality contents such that, if prospects need help or answer concerning a question, they’d turn to your blog for answers.
- Use your website to display your services. Be smart. Do it in a unique way and don’t turn it into a sales pitch
- Don’t forget to create a separate page on your site that showcase your services and gives people a brief on the benefits of your product or services.
- Make a list that your service solves and highlight some benefits or results that your services can provide. Take advantage of this–It’s what determines if prospects will work with you or not.
- Choose well-written testimonials and make your contact details accessible. If possible, display your contact details above the fold of your website.
Now back to the main subject of this post, how can you generate leads and sales from your website?
Simple! Do what others are not doing.
What do you mean by ” Do what others are doing? Can you explain better?”
Ok. Since you want me to dig more into this, I’ll charge you 50$. Oh! I’m just kidding–trust me, I’ll never charge you because, I’m not writing this because I want to make some cash off you, but, because, I want your business to prosper.
Without wasting time, here’s how you can generate leads and sales from your website.
1. Get Found By the Search Engines with Quality Web Content
I love this. I’m lover of quality contents and I doubt if I’d have been able to grow my blog to this level without it.
Quality content is king–unbelievably. Quality content is a critical factor to the growth of your website. In fact, you can never grow a successful company website without quality contents.
Hint: ”Mother” Google loves keyword rich content sites with up-to-date information.
If you don’t know how to craft exceptional web contents that garners attention, traffic, and sales, then seek the services of a web content writer.
2. Create Trust
This is one of the first things you must learn to do if you want to generate leads from your website
Create trust with readers by offering exceptional value. Provide contents that solve challenges and answer questions. Don’t provide ”fluffy” information’s.
Go the extra-mile to write your content like an eBook. Make your audience go, ” Wow! I could have paid for this, but I’m getting it free. I’ll ensure I order his services soon”.
Garner their attention, persuade them, and strengthen your relationship with them.
3. Make Your Website Navigable
Is your website navigable or easy to use? Does it SUCK with ”fluffy” designs? If yes, then consider making changes to it.
Make your website simple and easy to use. Don’t fluff your company website with designs, keep it as simple as possible.
4. Offer Freebies…
How would you feel if a stranger calls you up on your birthday?
I believe you’d want to go the extra-mile to visit that person, right? The same thing applies to your website.
Create quality tutorials, eBooks, short reports or white papers and give as a tool to acquire the prospect information.
Pro tip: Don’t ever use a PLR product as your opt-in gift, you’ll ruin your business that way. Instead, I’d suggest you either write the report or eBook yourself, or hire a professional web content writer.
5. Don’t Forget to Sell– But Do It Wisely
Never forget to sell. After all, that’s was why you created a company website in the first place.
Don’t make your content sound like a glorified sales pitch. Don’t ‘fluff’ your content with ”click here to order my service or buy my product” No, don’t do that. You’d make the reader lose interest in reading your content.
Pro tip: Use your website to display your skills and value.
Show people through your writing that you’re approachable. Make them see you as someone they can speak to, anytime they have challenges.
Don’t pitch–connect and you’d see the results.
