SEO Content Writing Tips: How to Boost Your Website SEO in 7 Steps

” Daniel, I know you’re a web content writer, can you help me push my websites to the top of the search engine results?” a client said.

If you’re thinking of increasing your search engine rankings like the client above, then this content is for you. In this article,  I’ll be revealing some tips they’ll aid you in getting ranked on Google.

There are several strategies to increase search engine rankings; and the tips I’ll be sharing in this article are just one of them. But before I continue with this post, I’ll like you to know this:

The better optimized your website is, the better your chances of being ranked by Google. The following tips will help you understand the mysteries behind getting ranked on Google.

So, are you ready to ride with me? Common! Take up your plunge and let’s roll!

1.     Make use of Tags and Meta-tags

This is very important–infact, this is the most important aspect of onsite SEO.

Ensure you make use of your tags–fill in the keywords you want to rank for; and ensure it flows smoothly.

Hint: If you’re offered the opportunity to have dinner with Brian Clark’s Copyblogger, won’t you accept the invitation?

It’s the same way when incorporating keywords in the tag section. This is the opportunity to get your post on top of the search engine results; so take full advantage of it. Insert the target keywords you want to rank for, and your company’s name.

Remember, don’t ‘’keyword stuff’’; make it flow naturally.

2.     Offer Unique and Juicy Web Content

I love quality content. In fact, quality content is my Girlfriend (just kidding).

You need well-written and informative web contents to rank high on Google. That’s why I always advise most of my clients to hire web content writing services to create web contents that engage search engine spiders.

Hint: Don’t ‘’keyword stuff’’ your web content– let your keywords flow sporadically. Make it roll of the tongue easily.

Take away tip: Remember, you’re writing for humans and not the search engines. If you want to ‘’keyword stuff’’ your content, go ahead, after all, it’s your business.

3.     Acquire Quality Backlinks

Acquire quality backlinks though guest blogging and blog commenting.

Guest blogging is an effective link-building tool and it has been the secret to my blogging success. If you really want to build quality backlinks, drive massive flow of traffic to your blog for years to come, then stick to guest posting on top blogs and avoid link farms.

Hint: It’s not the quantity of backlinks you have that matters but the quality. Guest blogging for quality works far better than guest blogging for quantity.

Always offer unique guest posts to top blogs in your niche and in turn, receive free traffic from Google.

Make your website Navigable

4.     Make your Website Navigation Easy

This is very important.  The more navigable your website is, the higher your chances of retaining new readers.

Hint: Ensure your website is simple, professional, and easy to navigate. Fix all broken links and submit a sitemap of your site to Google (this will boost your search engine rankings).

5.     Update Your Blog With Fresh, New Content

The search engines are lovers of contents and they fall in love with sites that update their blogs with quality contents. To increase your chances of being ranked on the search engines, you must update your blog with quality and well-written web contents on a continual basis.

Hint: If you don’t have the time to write web contents then consider the services of a web content writer.

6.     Use Pure HTML In Writing Up Your Website.

If you’re a small business or startup looking to make a name for yourself, stay away from flash and use HTML.

Why? Because search engine spiders find it hard to pick keywords phrases on websites that are written in flash

You may say, ” Well, I need something simple; so I think, I’ll give flash built websites a try”

If you think like this, then your business is already on its way to debt. There’s no excuse: If you want to rank on the search engines for highly competitive keywords in 5 months, then ensure your programmer use HTML in creating your website.

7.     Don’t Write For robots—Write For Humans

This is very common among newbie’s. They build up their websites to achieve high rankings on the search engine results and yet they don’t make any income. Things have changed online and people are becoming wise and sensible. Nowadays, online users only buy from people they trust (ARE YOU ONE OF THEM?)

Don’t ‘’keyword stuff’’ your content or buy links here and there; keep everything simple.

Write engaging, persuasive and highly informative web contents. Make it easy to read and ensure your website is navigable.
