How to ”Woo” Google and Make Her Drive free Organic Traffic to your Website
A website content writer once sent me an email saying, ” How can I write web content that drives traffics and engage readers.
In this content, I’ll teach you in few paragraphs, how to write search engine optimized content that drives traffic and convert new readers into regular visitors.
Your success online depends on your ability to write informative and engaging content.
The more informative and interesting your content is, the more your PR increases; and the more likely people will refer their friends to it, which will in turn boost your search engine rankings.
If you’re a website owner or online businessman, I believe your goal is to grow your business (websites and blogs), but you can’t achieve it alone by hiring SEO experts; you need powerful web contents to back up your efforts.
The reason why it seems like most online businesses fail their first year is because, most of them don’t believe in the power of online content. They prefer to hire low quality writers at $4 per article.
How can you expect to get a well optimized, informative, and authoritatively written content for $4?
I mean, it’s crazy.
If you’ve been doing this, stop it! Because you’re never going to get a well written content with that price; what you’d get is ”technical Jargons”.
Like I said earlier, the more people visit and stay on your website, the more visitors for you.
So, how do you write a search engine optimized web content that not only engage readers, but also boost your SERPS?
Here’s how to go about it:
Before I continue with this, know this:
If you’re a website content writer, the tips I’ll be sharing soon are the strategies I apply to write web contents. I believe that after reading this, you’d be to produce more solid contents.
1. Before writing your content, you must identify the keyword you’re targeting. The keyword must be around the subject of the content.
For instance, if you want to write content on ”web content writing”, your target keyword might be ” web content writing tips”.
Once you identify your target keyword, proceed to write your content but ensure that the target keyword appears in the first 90 characters. That means, it must appear in either the first sentence or the first paragraph.
Also ensure that the keyword appears naturally in the middle and the conclusion of your content.
Pro tip: Don’t make the mistake of repeating keywords. In fact, don’t repeat the same keyword 3 to 4 times.
The search engines may penalize you for doing this. If you feel like you want to use more of your target keyword, simply use related keywords. These are called (LSI keywords).
Using the above example ( web content writing), we can use LSI keywords like ”web content writing tips”, ”web content hack for web content writers”, ”SEO web content tips for website content writers”… et al.
Pro tip: Your purpose for using these related keywords is to avoid keyword repetition.
Take away tip: If you’re thinking, ”Huh! This guy is telling a fucking lie. I’ll include my target keyword 5 times and nothing would happen”. Do it, after all, it’s your business; not mine.
Most times, I counsel upcoming web content writers to make their contents 600 to 800 words long.
The reason is that, the search engines tend to respect informative contents that are at least, 800 words long. I never knew about this until I wrote a 2,000 post on my web content writer blog and I ranked on the first page of Google for the keyword, ”Web content writing service”.
Pro tip: the longer your content, the better.
Final words
After publishing the content, don’t forget to inter-link your target keyword to the related pages on the website.
Pro tip: This will boost your inbound links and increase your search engine rankings.
There you go!
I’m no magic web content writer, the above tips is my simple formula for writing informative and well optimized web contents.
